Nový Jičín is a picturesque town located in the Moravian-Silesian region on the river Jičínka in the east of the Czech Republic. The history of Nové Jičín dates back to the 13th century, when it was founded as a fortified town. Over the centuries, it became an important trade and craft center, which influenced its architecture and cultural development.

In the center of the city there is a square with a beautiful town hall, which is one of the most important historical monuments in Nové Jičín. The town hall is surrounded by historic houses with Renaissance and Baroque facades, which creates an authentic atmosphere and a wonderful backdrop for strolling through the city core.

If you visit Nový Jičín, you should not miss a visit to the Hat Museum, which presents the history and development of hats in the city. The museum offers engaging exhibitions, production demonstrations and the opportunity to view many interesting exhibits related to hats and hat making.
