Map showing webcams from the largest Greek island of Corfu. Corfu is the second largest island in the Ionian Sea. Corfu is one of the most beautiful and greenest islands in Greece and is rightly called the "Emerald". Corfu is the real pearl of Greece.

On the eastern side of the island are beautiful sandy beaches with clear blue waters that attract sun loungers and water sports enthusiasts. To the west are rocky cliffs with picturesque coves and caves where you can enjoy peace and privacy. The interior is then covered with green hills, olive groves and vineyards that offer wonderful panoramic views.

Corfu Town, the island's capital, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers visitors breathtaking streets with traditional pastel houses, Byzantine churches, a Venetian fortress and elegant squares. The city is famous for its ancient fortifications, which guard its harbor and offer breathtaking views of the sea.

Corfu also offers a wide variety of beaches that attract sun and sea lovers. From sandy beaches with fine white sand to rocky bays surrounded by greenery. Beaches - Glyfada , Paleokastritsa, Sidari and Kavos are just some of the many options that Corfu has to offer.

The historical heritage of Corfu is also evident in the many monasteries, churches and fortresses that are located on the island. For example, the monastery of Paleokastritsa, which is situated on the cliffs above the sea, or the fortress of Angelokastro, which rises above the coast and offers panoramic views of the island.

Greece consists of the mainland and 1,400 islands, of which less than 170 are inhabited. The Greek islands, apart from the two largest Crete and Euboea, are divided into six groups: the Southern Sporades, the North-East Aegean Islands, the Cyclades, the Sporades, the Ionian Islands and the Saronic Islands bay.

The capital of Greece is Athens with many monuments from ancient times, from the Roman period and from the time of Ottoman rule. Other cities visited by tourists include, for example, Thessaloniki, Patras, Piraeus or Heraklion in Crete.

Greece is a country with a rich and long history. Beautifully clean sea, olive groves, rich history, diverse coastline, magical islands, archeological sites, canyons and delicious cuisine are the reasons why Greece is attractive to tourists and people like to return here. It is a luxury tourist destination that has a lot to offer even the most demanding visitors. Tourism is very important for this country.

Out of the many islands, here is just a short list of a few of them.

Corfu: An island famous for its beautiful beaches, great food, I also call it the "emerald island" or "olive island" because of the wonderful colors that the island is full of.

Lefkada: Belongs to the Ionian Islands archipelago. Holidays here are unforgettable not only thanks to the beautiful beaches and sharp limestone cliffs.

Kefalonia: It is the largest of the Ionian Islands. A stay here is magical thanks to the beautiful beaches, dragon caves and many sights.

Zakynthos: It is an unusually green island for Greece. Zakythos offers beautiful sandy beaches and is very popular with tourists. The rich offer of taverns and entertainment on the beaches will delight those who are attracted by a more lively holiday.

Santorini: Today it is one of the most famous Greek islands known for its romantic white houses.

Tahssos: This island belongs to the best rated islands of Greece and not only for its beautiful sandy beaches. Tourists can drive here directly from the mainland.

Lesbos: Lesbos is the 3rd largest Greek island and a stay here will become a fairytale vacation.

Crete: The largest island of Greece, which offers almost everything - beautiful beaches, nice cities, ancient monuments and natural attractions.

Rhodes: On this island there is a world natural and cultural monument declared by UNESCO - the famous Valley of Petaloúdes, translated as Valley of Butterflies.

Greek cuisine is also attractive and tempting for tourists. All meals are based on lemon, oregano, garlic, dill and especially olive oil, vegetables and legumes are also widely used. The Greeks consume the most olive oil in the world. Greece is also the third largest producer of olives and olive oil. The meat used is mainly lamb, pork and goat. Of course, fish and seafood from the Mediterranean and the Aegean are an important part of the menu.

The central mountain range of Greece is the Pindos. There is also the Olympus mountain range in Greece with the highest mountain, Mytikas, 2,919m high. And how can you get to Greece?
